Biodegradable hydraulic oil
- made without palm oil

If you work with hydraulic systems, you know how crucial the oil is to the performance of your machines. But have you ever thought about how your hydraulic oil affects the surrounding environment?

At Uno-X, we are now introducing a new generation of biodegradable hydraulic oils developed for stationary and mobile hydraulic systems: Clarity Bio EliteSyn. A range that combines reliable performance with a stronger focus on responsibility.

Why choose a biodegradable hydraulic oil?

Oil spills can happen, no matter how careful you are. This is a particular challenge for machines working in natural areas where there is a high risk of soil or water pollution, such as forests, coastal areas, maritime environments or near watercourses.

With Clarity Bio EliteSyn, you get a hydraulic oil that is biodegradable: at least 60% over 28 days (according to OECD 301B). This means that if an accident does happen, the environmental impact will be lower than with conventional oils.

Clarity Bio EliteSyn also gives you a number of other benefits:

  • Free from palm oil
  • Temperature range from -30 °C to +90 °C (Clarity Bio EliteSyn ES 46)
  • Temperature range from -30 °C to +100 °C (Clarity Bio EliteSyn PE 46)
  • Performs under high pressure
  • Meets the standards ISO 15380 HEES, ISO VG 46 and SS 155434, and carries the EU Ecolabel

What is the problem with palm oil?

Palm oil is an economically attractive ingredient extracted from the oil palm, a plant that can produce large quantities of oil on very little land. That is exactly why palm oil has become extremely popular, and production has exploded over the past 20 years.

But the growing demand comes at a high price. To make room for the many oil palm plantations, vast areas of rainforest are cut down and burned. This destroys vital ecosystems, threatens animal and plant life and has serious consequences for the climate.

A hydraulic oil that matches your operations

Whether you work with construction machinery, agricultural machinery or industrial equipment, Clarity Bio EliteSyn can replace conventional hydraulic oils without compromising on performance. The oil provides effective rust protection, minimises wear and has high oxidation stability, which extends the service life of your machines.

One range, several options

Clarity Bio EliteSyn is being launched as a range of hydraulic oils with different properties to suit several types of machines and equipment. The first product in the range is Clarity Bio EliteSyn ISO VG 46, which is available in two versions: ES (unsaturated ester) and PE (saturated ester).

EliteSyn ISO VG 46 ES (unsaturated ester) is a cost-effective, biodegradable solution that offers long oil life and good performance.

EliteSyn ISO VG 46 PE (saturated ester) withstands higher temperatures over longer periods and is less aggressive towards hoses and seals. One advantage of this oil is that, in addition to good performance, it offers an extra-long service life.
